Choreography

Strangers, Feb 2017

UCL Dance Society, Triple Bill
Fosse inspired jazz

Music: Strangers by Melanie Baker

'Strangers' is about encounters, how we meet different people in life and build relationships.

The Triple Bill showcase is designed to cater for all levels of dance. This piece was designed for intermediate dancers, and for many of the performers it was their return to dance after many years.

A Language in which to exist, March 2018

UCL Dance Society, Exhibition
Contemporary and physical theatre

A poem made up almost entirely from quotations was the music for this dance, which explored how we express ourselves within the framework of art, language, and history. Are these words saying what we really want to say? How can we communicate our identity?

Poem by Izzy Inkpen

Sound recording by Emily Wang, Bláithín Carroll, Róisín Tapponi, Polly Creed, Japnam Kaur Bindra, courtesy of UCL Drama Society.

Foreign languages recorded by dancers in their native tongues.
